This gala is being run under a level 3 licence to enable swimmers who are 12 years of age to qualify for Irish Age Groups Div 2.  We would appeal to clubs and coaches to bear this in mind when submitting entries and not to oversubscribe the meet.

This meet will be run in 10 lane Short Course format

DATE: Sunday, 6th March 2022

TIME: Warm up 9am  Start 10:00 am

VENUE: University of Limerick

FEES: €5 per individual event, €16 per relay

The club will submit entries and payment directly to swim Muster and once entries have been accepted by swim Muster swimmers pay the club directly into the Club account

All competing clubs must provide at least one official per six swimmers per session up to a maximum of three officials per session.

The scoring takes place post event.  Clubs submit an excel document (attached) along with entries that indicates each athlete’s scoring events with the Region calculating the points after the event is concluded.  This is achieved by marking all non-scoring entries as exhibition after the meet has concluded and scoring the event.

Awards: No medals will be awarded.

Entries: No qualifying times will be published, and the meet will be open to all athletes aged 10 to 12 years registered as competitive members. Regions may decide to limit the number of entries per athlete and/or the number of relay entries per club

Relays & Withdrawals:

Clubs are permitted to enter more than one relay team per event, but only one team per club will be awarded points. The names of the four relay team members swimming in the race and the order of swimming must be declared on the official Team Declaration Sheet and submitted to the Swim Office Table no later than 60 minutes before the start of the session in which the race takes place. Failure to do so will be subject to a fine of €50 (without exception) and disqualification of the relay team.

Withdrawals must be made as directed by the Meet Organiser.

  1. Swimmers can only score in two individual events per meet
  2. Swimmers who have achieved a qualifying standard for the Super Series may not score in that same event
  3. Additional swimmers will be designated exhibition which means they get a time and a place, but they do not score toward the team total.
