We are deeply saddened by the news of the sudden death of Robbie Whelan last evening. Robbie was our Club Children’s Officer, a diligent and enthusiastic parent and so many of us benefitted from his encyclopedic knowledge of swimming. We will miss him so much, but most importantly our sympathies and our love go out to Joanne, Killian and Sarah today and always.
As a mark of respect to Robbie all training will be suspended until further notice.

The death has occurred of Robert (Robbie) Whelan, Glenaleamy, Powerstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
Robbie passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday evening surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and father, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joanne, adored children Killian and Sarah, parents Mick and Nellie, brothers Richie and Paul, parents-in-law Timmy and Bridie (Ryan), aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and his wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Friday evening from 4.30pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Saturday morning to Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church. Funeral Mass on arrival at 11.00am. Those who cannot attend can watch live via the Ss. Peter & Paul’s Parish livestream service https://www.churchservices.tv/clonmelpeterpaul. Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.
