Swim Ireland are delighted to share our September Online Training Schedule. The schedule, available HERE, is aimed at all learners including teachers, coaches of different disciplines, is a mixture of online Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Forums, Classrooms and Modules delivered by professionals from our Education, Performance, Youth Development and Clubs and Communities Departments.
Some require a fee however a significant amount of the opportunities are free. They are open to members and non-members.
This is an exciting development that will cater for learners across all disciplines and further training will be added across April and into May and June.
Below, you’ll find an explainer of the options available and in the document each week will be laid out with details and specifics.
Virtual CPD: These are FREE 1-1.5-hour CPD, delivered through Go To Meeting, Go To Training or Go To Webinar and are designed to facilitate learning and development through presentation, question and answer with a Swim Ireland Presenter. On completion of a Virtual CPD, learners will be awarded with up to 1 CPD point
Virtual Forum: These are FREE 1-1.5 hour forums with an opportunity for Swim Ireland to engage with our swimming community, delivered through Go To Meeting or Go To Webinar, welcoming feedback and suggestions on areas of development on a number of topics helping us shape the future of our business to the needs of our community and vice versa. On completion of a Virtual Forum learners will be awarded with a Credential or 1 CPD Point
Virtual Webinar: These are 1-1.5-hour webinars, many of them free-of-charge, with an opportunity for Swim Ireland to share information with our swimming community, delivered through Go To Meeting or Go To Webinar. On completion of a Virtual Webinar learners will be awarded with a Credential
Virtual Classroom CPD: These are PAID for 1-3-hour CPD, delivered through Go To Training or Go To Webinar and are designed to facilitate learning and development through presentation, interactive activities, breakouts, quizzes, tests and question and answer with a Swim Ireland Presenter or Tutor. On completion of a Virtual Classroom CPD, learners will be awarded with CPD points (value determined by topic and duration of CPD)
Virtual Classroom Course: These are PAID for courses (Safeguarding, Team Manager, Official, Level 1 and Level 2 Teaching and Coaching), delivered through Go To Training and are designed to facilitate learning and development through presentation, interactive activities, breakouts, quizzes, tests and question and answer with a Swim Ireland Tutor. On completion of a Virtual Classroom Course, learners will be awarded with a Credential and / or a Qualification relevant to the course
Online Module: These are FREE modules, delivered through our online learning platform STEP. On completion of an Online Module, learners will be awarded with a Credential
Online CPD: These are PAID for CPD, delivered through our online learning platform STEP. On completion of an Online CPD, learners will be awarded with CPD points (value determined by online CPD title)
