New Ross Swimming Club Set to Host Level 3 Gala This April.
New Ross Swimming Club will host its Level 3 Swimming Gala at The Apex Leisure Centre, New Ross, on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April 2026. The event promises an exciting weekend of competitive swimming, welcoming athletes aged 12 years and over from clubs across the country.
The gala will take place in a 6‑lane, 25‑metre competition pool and will feature a full programme of events across all strokes and distances. Saturday evening will focus on the longer distance events, including 400 IM, 800m and 1500m Freestyle, while Sunday will showcase a wide range of sprint and middle‑distance races across two sessions.
Run under Swim Ireland Level 3 licence conditions, the meet will operate with qualifying “faster‑than” entry times to ensure a high standard of racing throughout the weekend. Medals will be awarded to the top three swimmers in each age group across all events.
Spectator entry will be free, with raffle tickets available on the day, making it a great opportunity for families and supporters to enjoy a full weekend of competitive swimming in New Ross.
