Aspiring Champions Series – Meet 1 Overview

The Aspiring Champions Series – Meet 1 will take place on the 19th and 20th of October 2024 at the University of Limerick. If entries exceed the permitted timeframe, an additional day on the 13th of October will be scheduled, and a revised event schedule will be issued. This competition provides swimmers an opportunity to showcase their skills in a short course setting.

Schedule and Sessions

  • Saturday:
    • Warm-up: Boys (12:00-12:25 PM), Girls (12:25-12:50 PM)
    • Start Time: 1:00 PM
  • Sunday:
    • Warm-up: Girls (9:00-9:25 AM), Boys (9:25-9:50 AM)
    • Start Time: 10:00 AM

Qualification Criteria

  • Swimmers must be at least 13 years old by December 31, 2024.
  • Age groups: 13/14 years, 15/16 years, and 17 & over for both males and females.
  • Relay age group: 13 & over.

Event Details

  • All events will be Heat Declared Winners (HDW), and no finals will be held.
  • Withdrawals must be submitted online by 5 PM on the day before each competition day, with a €50 fine for late withdrawals.

Entry Details

  • Entries must be submitted via Hy-Tek software by September 25, 2024.
  • Individual entry fee: €8 per event.
  • Relay entry fee: €25 per event.
  • Payments should be made to the designated bank account at least ten days before the meet.

Awards

  • Swimmers will receive bands for meeting time standards, with details available on the Swim Munster website.
  • Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group.

Other Conditions

  • Swimmers must be prepared for potential anti-doping testing.
  • Photography is allowed only with pre-registration, and photographs may only be taken from designated areas.

Clonmel SC Entries Clonmel Swimming Club, coached by Niamh Whelan, has entered a range of swimmers across various age groups, with a total of 150 individual entries (68 female and 82 male).
